Huckerby & Ostler have adapted the comic novel Bird Brain by Guy Kennaway into an animated feature, which will be the first made by a new joint venture between Cantilever Media (The Amazing Maurice) and sales & financing outfit, Architect. The Bird Brain film, like the book, will follow Basil “Banger” Peyton-Crumbe, a crusty British aristocrat obsessed with game hunting. After a hunting accident, he awakes to find himself transformed into a pheasant, meaning he must band together with his previous prey to survive.
Huckerby & Ostler are currently developing a live action, British comedy based on an incredible true story, co-written with Ben Ward, multi-award-winning head writer of Horrible Histories. More news soon!
